The 3 Families of my Life - Who, Why, & How They Completed Me

17 May 2018

Who says you can’t have three families all at the same time? I think it's fun having a lot of families that you can trust and lean on. Well, here’s a blog post showing you guys why and how I have three families, and how cool they are. But first, let me share you some deets what family is all about for me.

Family is important. They are the ones whom you can come back to when you’re feeling alone or sad, and they will always be your support system no matter what happens. Probably one of its reasons why it is spelled as F-A-M-I-L-Y, like “Fam, I Love You!”

So going back, let me introduce to you my three families- the people I trust in many aspects, challenges, and different levels.

OFFICEMATES. TEAMMATES. BUDDIES. 2ND OFFICE.

Yep! 2 years ago, I was this young, fresh graduate who is super clueless about the corporate world. Luckily, I was welcomed warmly by these crazy yet fun-to-be-with people. I learned a lot from them, and I’ve built unexpected friendships with people I never thought I can be close with.

I was able to find people who gets along well with my weirdness, likes and dislikes, and many more. These people makes every working day extra fun. How awesome is that?

My Team!!!
With my closest office buddy.

My stay in 2nd Office made me believe that you will meet different people, and each one of them will give you a new learning that you will treasure for the rest of your career race. Oh sometimes not just officemates, but a family.

SOLID COLLEGE FRIENDS

If I should define ride or die, these people will be my definition. We are all different but yet, we have this common denominator that combines us all to be a strong force. It may sound very Star Wars-y, but that's what makes my circle cool.

Meet my friends, Kaila, Francis, Kath, Geej, Jeremy, and Kuya Mon. We all went through the same college course, and though we are all busy, we still keep in touch through social media platforms. When we have free time, we manage to plan our weekend hangouts or just have unplanned kita-kita just because we're solid as that.

What makes our bond strong is that we have each other's back, no matter how long we haven't seen each other. Just like relationships, we may have ups and downs, but we still manage to just laugh it all off, learn, then move forward.

Well I guess, whatever happens, this family of mine will be one of my treasured people- the ones who are always on my list.

MY FAMILY, OMG. THIS IS IT.

The real deal is here- meet my mom, dad, and brother! No words can describe my love for them, and they always support me no matter what my choices are. What makes my family awesome? Well, let me put it the way Regina George's mom said it- we're not a regular family, we're a cool family. Whether we are outside watching movies, eating at the buffet restos, or just staying at home, we always make every second count. We always talk about different topics which we really like doing and from there, we randomly develop ideas like where we should go for the holidays, or what food or restaurant we should try on our next trip. And with those things, that makes my family awesome.

As you can see, we really, really, really, love eating, which we think is awesome.

May 15 is International Family Day, and let this blog post remind you that everyday should be a Family Day. You can find a family with your group of friends, officemates, or even with a single person.

Family does not only require matching chromosomes- a family can be formed out of love and acceptance. Remember that your family will always be there to remind you that you have a home, physically and emotionally.

Spread the love like it's confetti in the air or like candy sprinkles over your cake!

Love, Loise <3

#WhatLoiseLikes | Dubbing What I learned Last Week!

14 September 2015
So this blog post is dedicated to one of my major subjects for this semester, and I would like to share with you guys what I learned from my Communication Management class.

This midterms, here are the following things I learned:

1. Groupthinking - members of the group who think the same way as the others- in short, you all think the same idea or concept in the same manner.

Under Groupthinking, there are 5 Aspects:
1. Illusion of Invulnerability.
2, Illusion of Morality.
3. Stereotyping.
4. Self-Censorship
5. Illusion of Unanimity.

There's also Participation & Decision Making, where there are two models: Alternative/Affective Model and Cognitive Model. Our professor also mentioned Workplace Democracy where the opinion/s of employees are valued.

Under Emotional in Workplace, there are 3 things to remember as well:
1. Emotional Labor
2. Surface Acting/Deep Acting
3. Bounded Rationality

-----

Well if you think that I'm just going to enumerate all what I have learned from my subject without a twist, you're wrong. Haha! Of course, apart from all what I have jotted down in my notebook, I also have reflected what are the manners you should not do in a workplace. Let me share you what I learned through my Dubsmash videos!

Lately, I've been Dubsmash-ing a lot and I thought of using it for this blog post, since I cannot post all of my videos on my Facebook account. So let's go back to the topic..

To be able to be happy in a workplace, of course you should avoid these things so that you can get along well with your co-workers, as well as to enjoy your job and your working environment:

1. AVOID TANTRUMS. It is unavoidable to be angrily-triggered when you don't like what your co-workers did to you or if you don't really like someone's attitude, so learn to control your temper (and avoid throwing things!).

2. AVOID SARCASM. It might sound like an intelligent response to not-so-sensible questions, but some might get annoyed with your answer/s. So avoid being sarcastic (and loud at the same time!) to avoid wars.

3. DON'T YELL AT OTHERS. Avoid raising your voice to others so that they won't take you as a very terrifying person, and it will even affect your working relationship towards for they might think you're monster (haha!).

4. DON'T BE INTIMIDATED, for it might trigger you to become emotionally depressed in your work. Remember, always do your best.

5. DON'T BE HOT-HEADED. Again, to avoid arguments.

6. DON'T ANSWER BACK TO YOUR SUPERIORS. Always put in mind to be courteous and composed not just to your boss, but also to your fellow employees.

---

So that's it! (Thank you Dubsmash for making this post creative!)

Always put in mind that you will meet a lot of different people- some you may not go along with or the others you can jive with. Remember that your workplace should always be fun-filled so better follow these tips to have a great working time!

#LoveLoise | Friday Thoughts

10 September 2015
Sooooo, it is Friday again. Days pass by so fast and here I am still working on my thesis as part of my requirements for passing my first semester for the school year 2015-2016. And not just that, here are some of the happenings today I want to share to you guys:

1. I went home today carrying a lot of paper bags. My dad texted me to buy lunch for me, for him, and for my brother, and my mom asked me to go to the grocery to buy laundry soap, dish washing liquid, fish sauce, and bath soap (too much info! haha!). A total of two heavy paper bags. When I went out of the grocery, IT WAS RAINING. So I have no choice but to rush in the about-to-fall-heavy rain before I get really wet. While walking, the other paper bag ripped-off from underneath! Okay, okay, too much WTH situations, but yeah, at least I am productive today.

2. I am the early bird for our class today! Hurrah! I love being early, because I hate late. That is why I always try to be early so that the same thing will happen to me when I am waiting for someone or something.

3. I sang my heart out today!- because one of my blockmates played old songs while we are working on our activity. Songs like "Where do broken hearts go" and "Til my heartaches end" were the songs I sang along with a while ago. And no, I am not brokenhearted before you guys think I am.

4. I got home an hour before my favorite noon-time show started! And yes, two hours early before the much-awaited kalyeserye of AlDub. (Will be posting something about ALDUB after they really, really meet in person!_

5. Here I am, writing my blog.

I'll be back again for some posts because I missed blogging about random things. Thanks for reading!

#LoiseLife | The Change

28 May 2015
In my previous post, I have mentioned that there will be changes in my blog starting next month, but I think I cannot wait next month to begin the changes. Well, my URL is changed into loisedeala.blogspot.com- oh yes, the shorter, the greater! And I love my name so much that's why I put it in my blog site.

So let me tell you a short story about my name.

My full name is Christine Loise Junio Deala, and it was only last 2008 when they stopped calling me Christine because I have classmates way back in High School who's name is also Christine, so my friends started calling me Loise (it is pronounced as LOYS).

And until now, Loise is the name that I carry when I introduce myself to others.

And with my blog URL changes, I also decided to revamp my blog's header. Introducing a pink and white header!

Oh yes! My blog will venture into a new dimension. My future posts will be more on my life adventures. Here are the 3 Hashtags that my blog will be using in the future:

1. #LoiseLife - This hashtag will feature all my everyday happenings- from house chores to school stuff and the like.

2. #LoveLoise - This will feature all my thoughts about love, life, and everything emotional (but not sad!)

3. #WhatLoiseLikes - This will feature all the things I like from music, fashion, celebrities, and many more.

So always tune in to my blog for a lot of updates. See you around, Crashers! (Yes, another change! All my blog readers will be called Crashers!)

#LoiseLife | Sharing my Ideas on How to Enjoy Doing your School Works

27 May 2015
Aloha! It's been forever since I've last posted. I was really busy for school plus my other extra-curricular activities in school and all of those ate my time, even my rest days! But it was a great school year for me because it was full of learning experiences not just in academics, but also in life, love, and friendship.

Last school year, I learned the value of responsibility and leadership during my stay as the Editor-in-Chief of Tel-La Salle, the official publication for the Tertiary Education Unit of La Salle College Antipolo. It was truly an honor to be chosen as the EIC, and I am proud to say that our publication has achieved all the innovations we've planned before last school year started. What can I say? All the members of the editorial staff are exceptionally talented and improving as well. Kudos to my team! And thank you to our readers as well.

Opening yourself to many changes is a courageous way of accepting what your life is about to offer. Though there were personal problems last year, I still chose to look at the positive side of life- that there will always be great tomorrows that will give me motivations to do well.

And just recently, I have enrolled myself as a fourth year college student! Hurrah! Just a few more tamblings 'til graduation. I am so excited to start the school year and happily stress myself with all the school works. I don't know but it's weird that I love doing a lot of things. Maybe because I try to enjoy the school works and not rant about how hard it is, and this came to my idea of giving you guys some tips on how to do your school works (since June is fast approaching!)

FiveTips on How to Enjoy Doing your School Works

1. Always Have a Snack on your side. It's better to have something to nibble while you are doing all your works. It will help you be energized and will not make you run in the kitchen anymore. I advise you to eat chocolates and nuts, or chocolates with nuts! Sweets to keep you working it and nuts to activate your brain cells.

2. Play Your Music. You will never get bored when there's sound playing around you, but keep the volume on moderate level so you won't get too bombarded. Play your favorite songs from your favorite artists, and imagine them serenading you while you work.

3. Stretch, Stretch, & Stretch. Oh yes, you don't have to be facing in front of your laptop forever or else you'll gain back pain that will give you much more stress. Get up, stretch those arms and breathe- give your stress hormones a time to relax.

4. Don''t put in mind that your work is hard. Well I guess, this is the real secret. You don't have to tell yourself that your school work/s is/are very difficult. All works are difficult, remember that. Always keep in mind that your goal is to finish your school work with flying colors. Believe me, you will finish your work in no time at all.

5. Avoid the Rush. Do not rush your work. Remember that you are given a time to do it, and the secret is to do it early, not hours before the deadline. Rushing things will only make the result worse, so don't be in a hurry.

So there you have it, five easy ways to pump up your nerves while doing school works. Just do it step by step and you're on your way to get those high grades!

Less Colors, More Fun

28 November 2014

Last Monday, I wore a black peplum top for 30 minutes for a photoshoot for our online magazine. The top is not mine by the way, so I wanna say thank you to my friend Kathleen for lending me this top, since I forgot to bring mine, my bad.

This shoot is for our required magazine for our Broadcast Communication class, and the theme of the clothes are black, gray, or blue. The photos will be used to introduce the bunch of people who'll contribute articles and who will work under this online mag. The title of our magazine is, The Arrow, with the tagline "Shooting you with information.".

Kaila Canlas of Slice of KeiQ was our photographer and she did excellent shots!

Best of luck to all of us who will work under The Arrow, since we have a lot more projects ahead of us and we don't know what we will do first! College is indeed full of pressure and excitement, and yet, we love what we are doing.

Pinto Art Gallery: Appreciating Local Art

26 November 2014

Earlier today, for our Visual Communication class, me and my other block mates went to the must-visit Pinto Art Gallery. Actually it is my first time to set foot in this place, though I have been hearing a lot of compliments about this place, I never had a chance to visit this gallery. Thanks to our professor, Ms. Mariel Cruz, for encouraging us to visit this place to appreciate the art, as per related to our subject.

It was a nice place. The art installations will make you go "whoa!", not just by its visual form, but also with the stories behind every artwork.

Oh hi there Ms. Mariel! Wihi.

My friends Kath & Sharmaine checking out on some action-filled paintings. The portraits are a little bit scary at first but when you check every detail of it, it will surely explain why you should appreciate these works.

I really love staircases! Cheers to the architect of this gallery. I adore staircases too much that the paintings besides it makes it more fabulous. Reminds me so much of teleseryes with extravagant houses.

This portrait reminds me so much of my childhood. I grew up receiving dresses like this from my grandmothers. The color is so perfect and it even looks like it has filter or edited on VSCO. I adore the artist of this work so much.

Among all the artworks, this one is my favorite- perfectly, color-combined studded turtle great for living room displays. Hoping one day this will be on a raffle and I'll win. Hihi.

Visiting art galleries are definitely a therapy to the soul. You get to see masterpieces that are created with such passion and unlimited inspiration. I highly recommend you guys to visit this place, especially for those who want to see exceptional beauty found in artworks.
