Potterhead? Always.

15 August 2014
It was summer of 2000 when my Dad gave me DVD entitled "Harry Potter & the Sorcerer's Stone", and then after that, I've always dream of studying in Hogwarts.

The first Harry Potter Book was released in 1998 and it was the same year when J.K. Rowling, the author of Harry Potter series, sold its film rights to Warner Bros. and she demanded to have British characters for the film.
Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, & Rupert Grint were chosen to be Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley, the three best friends who went on a spectacular and magical journey all throughout the film series. Their characters were a major blast among the viewers of the Harry Potter films because they were the epitome of great friendship where courage, intelligence, and kindness are combined.

Who would not forget the magic spells that were mentioned in the series? Some remained unforgettable to many viewers. Magic spells such as Wingardium Leviosa, Expecto Patronum, Lumos Maxima, and the other spells that were really pleasant to hear (especially to Potterheads like me).

Hermione's successful levitation.
One of the reasons why I love this series is because of the change of Professors in every movie. In the first movie, they had Prof. Quirrel, and then followed by Gilderoy Lockhart, Remus J. Lupin, Sybill Trelawney, Alastor Moody, and Dolores Umbridge. But the resident professors Severus Snape, Minerva McGonagall, Rubeus Hagrid, and Head Master Albus Dumbledore, were the ones who guided and taught the Hogwarts students all throughout the series.

Well, among the film installments, of course I have that one really-unforgettable-and-extremely-favorite scene- the scene where Severus Snape was described as the man who loved a girl, always and forever. It is where Snape revealed his undying love for Harry's mom, Lily, and how he managed to save Harry in his every circumstance even though he was the son of his hated person, James Potter.

The series of Harry Potter films will always live, especially to us, Potterheads, who always loved the magical world (tho fictional) through these series. Who would not love these series when it involved non-magical people called Muggles in their story, telling us that even those who were outside the magical world can be as magical more than they thought they could be. It taught us how to be brave, wise, and strong all at the same time.
