Storm Surge - a rising of the sea as a result of atmospheric pressure changes and wind associated with a storm.
September is almost done and October is about to arrive. Us students in college are about to finish the first term of the school year and here we are- cramming for endterm's requirement. No matter how hard we try to finish everything on time, there will still be interventions and wrong-timing events that will come and disrupt the whole plan.
Like a storm surge, we will feel that certain kind of pressure which will trigger us to become hopeless and definitely bombarded with a lot of things in mind that will only give us serious headache. Crazy, right? So now, let's work on some things that will totally help us survive the toughest days coming.
1. Put everything in your planner. Or maybe list all your things-to-do in a notebook, and always bring it. With this, you will never forget all your tasks for the day.
2. Highlight Deadlines. Never forget to remind yourself everyday of all the deadlines of your requirements. Deadlines are dangerous threats, causing us students to stay awake longer and produce eyebags the next day. With this, I suggest that you drink milk (it's effective!) to keep your body healthy even after an exhausting and sleepless night.
3. Have an alone time. Focus on your works without any distractions beside you. Find a place where you can concentrate.
4. Separate your schedule for "Study" from "Doing". Don't mix your works together and try to categorize them to avoid confusion. No matter how clean your notes are, if your works and workplace are a mess, you'll never finish anything.
5. Don't Complain. Imagine having a life without dilemmas, how can you find the urge to motivate yourself? So do not complain. If you feel a little bit tired of everything, take a deep breath and relax. Complaining will only add stress to you.
These things may sound basic, but it is so helpful you'll thank this post for it. To wrap this up, let us always motivate ourselves to do more so we can achiever our goals for this semester. You can even use the Semestral Break as a motivation. Have a fun September & October!
