When Reality is shown in the Silver Screen

" What is it with man? Kapag sobra mo silang minamahal, nasasakal sila. Kapag naman 'di mo sila mabigyan ng oras, naghahanap ng iba. Kailangan pa bang timplahin ang pagmamahal?" - Jenny (portrayed by Andi Eigenmann in When the Love is Gone)

I know watching this film is so, so late.

When the Love is Gone, directed by Andoy Ranay, is a story about family, love, and defining contentment. It is a remake of the 1983 movie, Nagalit ang Buwan sa Haba ng Gabi.

The story is about Emman (Gabby Concepcion), a successful businessman and family man, who fell out of love of her wife, Audrey (Alice Dixson), after giving him less attention when she started her own business. And there goes Cassie (Cristine Reyes), who met Emman in the same island they are both staying for vacation. With the both of them having problems with their married life, they eventually found comfort in each other and decided to continue their hidden relationship.

After the movie No Other Woman, a lot of mistress movies followed. It is in the culture of the Filipinos that when reality is attached to movies, they become more aggressive with what they have seen. Don't you guys notice that many videos have gone viral, depicting stories of real-life wife-husband-mistress situations, showing how the legal wife pulls the hair of the mistress and badmouthing at the same time. As far as I am concern, these movies are only eye-openers that shows that it is not good to meddle in a married couple- it is one way to give us an advice that we should respect married couples and respect for ourselves. Though many are still inclined into this kind of situation, we should still learn the good in this kind of movies we watch.

What we see in the movies are totally emotionally busting, that it almost throws you out of your seat while watching because you can feel the character's feelings. But still, it is a movie, and this mistress movie can happen into real life, and yet, we can still avoid it by using our heads.
